Description
The crest of the Strachey family was found on a brass ring found in the southeastern bulwark of James Fort. William Strachey was secretary of the colony in 1610-11 after being shipwrecked in Bermuda. His account of that adventure likely inspired William Shakespeare’s play “The Tempest.”
This sterling silver charm measures 3/4″ tall by 5/8″ wide at its widest points, comes with an attached jump ring, and reads “Jamestown 1607” on the back.
Made exclusively for APVA by Hand & Hammer Silversmiths.
